The thesis consists of three parts. The first part will provide background about the importance of listening, the use of different listening strategies and listening levels , it brings forth factors that interfere with listening and therefore should be paid attention to by the teacher. The second chapter consists of four parts. The first part gives an overview of how films can be used in classroom. The second part summons similar studies that have been carried out in different countries. In the third part the current experiment and methodology is described and the last part offers outcomes of the experiments.
